“promoting a sustainable community for Kingsteignton
and respect for its residents
both present and future”
The Future
These pictures show what still could be lost to the relentless development within the boundaries
of Kingsteignton
Sandygate Lane. The re-alignment of the B3193 road to Chudleigh
will change the appearance of this tranquil lane at the new junction.
Below is a plan that Arnold White Estates unveiled in 2004 showing the then “settlements” in light orange. The dark
orange areas are, according to the key at the bottom of the page, “Areas for Consideration” for future development.
The “settlements” in the plan show the whole of Newton Abbot and all of what is referred to as Penns Mount as built
up area. This was intended to make the net effect of their plans look less overwhelming.
